Trinity Academy
Serving Kindergarten through 5th Grade in Fort Pierce.
Trinity Academy is dedicated to sharing with each child and their parents God’s unconditional love so that children and their families may grow, mature, and become part of a community of fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
“Educating, equipping, and empowering all people to live lives of Promise and purpose through Jesus Christ”
Trinity Academy was founded as an expression of Trinity Lutheran Church’s long-standing commitment to serve children and families in Christ’s love. What began as a small preschool ministry—Open Arms of Fort Pierce—quickly grew into a trusted community resource, offering early learning, before- and after-school care, and spiritual guidance for young children. As the needs of families grew and the desire for faith-based education expanded, Open Arms of Fort Pierce laid the foundation for something more: a private Christian school that would nurture the whole child—spiritually, academically, and socially. Out of this vision, Trinity Academy was established starting in 2018 with only Kindergarten and slowly expanding throughout the years. Today, Trinity Academy is a thriving ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church. It offers elementary education for children from kindergarten to fifth grade. Rooted in faith and built on a legacy of care, Trinity Academy remains committed to supporting families and helping children grow into confident, compassionate followers of Jesus.
Potential
Trinity Academy is a nonprofit Ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church, providing an academic program of the highest quality designed to meet the needs of concerned working parents. At Trinity Academy, each child is guided to develop his / her potential in every aspect of life within the shelter and nurturing relationship of Christian love. We operate our Academy assuming each child is an individual, who should develop a healthy self-image. Trinity Academy will assist each child to grow spiritually, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.
Growth
At Trinity Academy, we believe elementary school is a critical time for students to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to support each child’s individual strengths, while also teaching the importance of cooperation, respect, and teamwork. In a loving and Christ-centered environment, students learn to interact positively with peers and adults through collaborative projects, group discussions, and shared learning experiences.
Future
As students progress through the elementary years, we provide a balanced approach to learning that includes structured academic instruction, hands-on activities, and opportunities for creativity and exploration. We aim to nurture each child’s curiosity and encourage a lifelong love of learning, all while pointing them to the wonder of God’s creation. Through engaging lessons and meaningful relationships, Trinity Academy helps students build a strong spiritual and academic foundation.
Grade levels offered: Kindergarten- 5th grade
Curriculum overview: At Trinity Academy, we use a carefully chosen, Christ-centered curriculum that promotes academic excellence and spiritual growth. Our core subjects—math, language arts, and phonics—are taught using Sadlier materials, while Studies Weekly is used for science and social studies to provide engaging, age-appropriate content. For Christian studies, we use Enduring Faith, which helps students develop a strong biblical foundation and personal relationship with Christ. In addition to these primary resources, teachers may incorporate other pre-approved materials to enrich instruction and meet the unique learning needs of their students. Our curriculum is designed to support critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning, all within a biblical worldview.
Special programs: We offer physical education, weekly chapel, music, art, and computer science, along with extracurricular opportunities such as dance club and student government, plus ways for parents to get involved through our PTO.
